I know how tough it is in today's job market, but fortunately, there are plenty of opportunities for writers. I'm sure our readers would be very interested in reading about your challenges and what you are doing to overcome them. Kudos to you for taking the bull by the horns and enrolling in online classes to sharpen your skills. I know I would like to learn more about grant writing, so I hope you'll consider writing about that as well. As they say, "A writer writes." I try to write something non-work related every day. Thanks for following me on Twitter. I really love your insights and blog. I would be interested in posting a guest entry though I do not have a blog of my own to reciprocate (at least, not yet!). I've been writing poetry and fiction short stories since I was 8 years old and have had a few published here and there in local journals and magazines. I'm currently trying to re-enter the job market after being at home with my child for 2 years and am trying to leverage all the grant and proposal writing I did as a fundraiser and grant writer to make a job change into editing and proofreading. Even though I am a grammar freak, I need polishing so I am currently taking some online classes to help refine my skills and bolster my qualifications. I'd be glad to talk about the emotional barriers I have had to overcome in order to justify writing as a career or how humbling it is to take grammar classes again at age 34. :) Hi!
